Ghana Chamber of Mines Names Dr. Ken Ashigbey as New CEO

Accra, Ghana - 0 June, 2025 - The Ghana Chamber of Mines has announced a new leadership era with the appointment of Dr. Kenneth Ashigbey as its Chief Executive Officer and Ahmed Dasana Nantogmah as Chief Operating Officer, effective June 1, 2025.

This strategic move aims to drive innovation, growth, and sustainability in Ghana's mining industry.

Dr. Ashigbey brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as CEO of the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications for almost eight years. His diverse background in engineering, media, infrastructure, and technology will steer the Chamber's strategic vision, deepen stakeholder engagement, and strengthen policy advocacy efforts.

Dr. Ashigbey's credentials include a PhD in Business Administration from the Swiss Management Centre, an MBA from the University of Leicester, and a BSc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Ahmed Dasana Nantogmah, the Chamber's first-ever Chief Operating Officer, will oversee day-to-day operations and ensure effective execution of strategic plans. With extensive experience in mining policy and corporate affairs, Nantogmah is well-suited to deliver on the Chamber's ambitious operational goals.

Michael Edem Akafia, President of the Ghana Chamber of Mines, expressed optimism about the future, stating,The appointment of Ing.
