Gender Ministry Terminates Contracts of Regional and Zonal School Feeding Coordinators

Agnes Naa Momo Lartey is Ghana's Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection

Accra, Ghana - 06 March, 2025 - Ghana's Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection has terminated the contracts of all regional and zonal coordinators of the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP), effective immediately.

The decision was announced on March 4, 2025 in a statement signed by the Gender Minister, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey. The affected staff have been instructed to collect their termination letters and complete their handover processes.

“Please be informed that the contracts of all Regional and Zonal Coordinators of the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) are hereby terminated with immediate effect,'' portions of the statement read.

The GSFP, a government-backed initiative to offer complimentary meals to students has encountered obstacles, including tardy funding disbursements and accusations of malfeasance.
