GAF Debunks Ammunition Transport Claim in Viral Audio
Ghana's military has moved swiftly to debunk a viral audio recording circulating on social media, which alleged that a civilian vehicle was permitted to enter a secure military facility to transport ammunition.
According to a statement issued by the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), the claims made in the audio recording are entirely false and should be disregarded. The military explained that the vehicle in question was actually delivering a live cow to the facility, which was then quarantined before being relocated to a nearby kraal.
GAF urged the public to be cautious when sharing information about security services, emphasizing the importance of verifying facts to avoid spreading falsehoods. The military warned that such actions can create unnecessary tension, fear, and panic, particularly during sensitive periods.
