Mavis Hawa Koomson, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, is confident that her experience and dedication to the community will earn her an impressive 60% of the votes.

The constituency has faced its share of challenges in the past, including a violent incident in 2020 that left one person injured.

However, Koomson remains committed to maintaining peace and decorum throughout the electoral process.

As a veteran politician, Koomson has pledged to rise above petty disputes and maintain her composure, even in the face of provocation. According to her, she is focused on serving the community and ensuring a smooth electoral process.

“It is God who determines my victory, not my own strength, so the winning percentage is also in His hands. However, I am not expecting anything less than 60%,” she stated.

“I am a seasoned politician, and as someone with experience, I have no intention of engaging in petty disputes with my opponents. This election will not be a repeat of past encounters. From the start of 2021, I made a promise that in this 2024 election, I will not stoop to such levels.”

“Even if my opponent provokes me, I will remain unfazed for now. However, once the election is over, I will respond appropriately. Until then, I will maintain my composure,” she added.

Rumors of ballot stuffing in the Ga South Municipality have been categorically denied by Koomson, who is adamant that the constituency is solidly behind her. With her sights set on a decisive victory, Koomson is poised to make a lasting impact on the community she serves.
