Don't sell your vote for money - Asiedu Nketiah tells Ashanti voters

Ashanti Region, Ghana - Nov 4, 2024 - National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has issued a rallying cry to party members in the Ashanti Region, urging them to prioritize policies and long-term vision over short-term financial gains from the opposition.

Speaking on the first day of the NDC's Retail Campaign in the region on November 4, Asiedu Nketiah emphasized that accepting money in exchange for votes undermines meaningful development and hinders community progress.

Asiedu Nketiah stressed that voters should back candidates committed to sustainable growth and effective governance.

He also warned that short-term choices, driven by financial incentives, compromise the community's progress.

The NDC chairman highlighted the NDC's development projects in the Ashanti Region, benefiting everyone, and cautioned against voting for parties that prioritize handouts over development.

“We will equally share monies and goodies if that is what you want instead of using that for developmental projects. How will there be development? They have enough to spend on and yet, use the meagre to get you to vote for them.

“Anyone who cannot see the development projects the NDC has brought to the Ashanti region must be overlooking them. Everyone benefits from our projects. If the other party shares monies based on status without any development in our communities, and yet you vote for them, we’ll also do the same.”
