Court Gives Prosecution June 2 Deadline to File Disclosures in NSB Kwabena Adu Boahene Trial
Accra, Ghana - 26 May, 2025 - A High Court in Ghana has issued a crucial directive in the trial of Kwabena Adu Boahene, former Director of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), mandating that the prosecution must file and serve full disclosures on the defense before any plea bargain discussions can proceed.
The ruling, delivered by Justice John Nyadu Nyante, came after Deputy Attorney General Dr. Justice Srem-Sai requested additional time to submit necessary documents due to the illness of a key investigator.
The court has set a deadline of June 2, 2025, for the prosecution to file all disclosures, and the case will next be reviewed on June 11 for a case management conference.
Following a private meeting with the prosecution and defense lawyer Samuel Atta Akyea, Justice Nyante set the stage for the trial's progression, which may involve plea negotiations or further court proceedings.
