Car Crashes into Westland Bar, Bursts into Flames
Accra, Ghana - 30 June, 2025 - A dramatic incident unfolded in Westland on Saturday, June 28, when a vehicle crashed into a bar and burst into flames.
The accident occurred around 2 p.m., with eyewitnesses describing the car as reversing uncontrollably before veering off the road and slamming into the bar attached to a nearby building.
In a remarkable display of quick thinking, bystanders sprang into action, rescuing the driver from the car mere seconds before it was fully engulfed in flames. The Ghana National Fire Service arrived promptly and managed to extinguish the blaze, but not before the vehicle was completely destroyed.
Fortunately, the driver was pulled to safety, and it appears that no one else was injured in the incident.
