Accra ,October 23,2025 - In a significant show of support, 63 Members of Parliament from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Minority side have thrown their weight behind Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the former Vice President and flagbearer hopeful, in the party's upcoming presidential primaries.

Addressing a press conference in Accra, Mampong MP Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong emphasized that their endorsement is driven by deep conviction, citing Dr. Bawumia's exceptional leadership, competence, and commitment to Ghana's development. "We have seen his work, discipline, resilience, and readiness to serve," he stated, describing Dr. Bawumia as the embodiment of the party's next chapter – a future built on competence, innovation, unity, and hope.

The MPs, representing various constituencies, expressed confidence in Dr. Bawumia's ability to unite the party and win public confidence, securing victory for the NPP in 2028 and beyond. They highlighted his role in driving Ghana's digital revolution, promoting financial inclusion, and modernizing public service delivery.

Dr. Bawumia, who led the NPP into the 2024 elections as flagbearer, is seeking re-election to lead the party again in 2028. The endorsement is expected to bolster his campaign and strengthen his position as a leading candidate in the forthcoming elections.
