Akufo-Addo Pledges Cooperation with Mahama's Transition Team
Ghana's Outgoing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has pledged his support for a seamless transfer of power to President-elect John Dramani Mahama.
The inauguration of the 2024 National Transition Team, held at the Jubilee House in Accra, brought together members of both the outgoing and incoming administrations.
President Akufo-Addo reaffirmed his dedication to ensuring the incoming administration receives the necessary resources and support to assume office smoothly.
“It is in the interest of all of us as Ghanaians that I brought him here.”
“He's familiar with this place. He was here before I came. He's back here again. He knows exactly what is entailed,” President Akufo-Addo said heartily.
“I assure him [John Dramani Mahama] of my full support and that of my government over the transitional process to make sure that his administration takes off in the best of conditions,” Akufo-Addo stated.
