Parliament to Grill Brogya Gyenfi, Gizella Tetteh, Naa Odoley Sowah Today

Accra, Ghana - 28 Feb, 2025 - Ghana's Parliament will today, Friday, February 28, 2025, continue its vetting process for deputy ministerial nominees, despite recent objections from the Minority.
Three nominees, including Brogya Genfi for Deputy Defence Minister, Gizella Akushika Tetteh-Agbotui for Deputy Minister for Works, Housing, and Water Resources, and Rita Naa Odoley Sowah for Deputy Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs, will face questioning from the Appointments Committee.
The vetting process has been marred by controversy, with the Minority in Parliament rejecting four nominees on February 26, citing disagreements over the approval process.
President Mahama, in his State of the Nation Address on February 27, 2025, urged Parliament to expedite the vetting process for his deputy ministerial nominees, emphasizing the need for efficient governance.
