Appointments Committee to Vet Kwame Agbodza, Haruna Iddrisu, and Eric Opoku Today

Accra, Ghana - 20 Jan, 2025 - Ghana's Parliament is set to grill a new batch of ministerial nominees, as the vetting process resumes today, Monday January 20, 2025.

The Appointments Committee will scrutinize the qualifications and experience of three nominees, including Kwame Agbodza, who has been tapped to lead the Roads and Highways Ministry.

Also facing the committee's questions are Haruna Iddrisu, the nominee for Education Minister, and Eric Opoku, who has been nominated to head the Food and Agriculture Ministry.

The vetting process is a crucial step in the appointment of ministers in Ghana, allowing lawmakers to assess a nominee's suitability for the role.

Over the coming days, the committee will hear from a total of 23 nominees, including those vying for key portfolios such as Trade, Local Government, and Gender.
