Antoine Semenyo Signs Contract Extension with Bournemouth Until 2030

AFC Bournemouth has taken a significant step in retaining its top talent with the signing of Antoine Semenyo to a new long-term contract until 2030.

The Ghanaian international forward has been a crucial player for the Cherries, delivering an impressive 13 goals and 7 assists in the 2024/2025 Premier League season.

Despite attracting interest from prominent clubs like Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, Semenyo chose to commit his future to Bournemouth, reflecting his confidence in the club's project and ambition.

“I’ve grown so much at the club, both on and off the pitch, and I’m really happy to have signed ahead of returning for pre-season.

“From the fans to the staff and my teammates, I can’t speak highly enough of the people around the club. It’s a great place to be and I’m excited to get back to Bournemouth and continue the hard work with the new season just around the corner,” Semenyo said, expressing his satisfaction with the new deal.

Semenyo's contract extension is seen as a testament to Bournemouth's determination to hold onto its key players amidst increasing competition in the league. The club reportedly valued Semenyo at £70 million, which deterred potential suitors like Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Bournemouth's President of Football Operations, Tiago Pinto, praised Semenyo's impact on the club, stating, "Antoine has been crucial to the club's progress and is a key member of the project here at Vitality Stadium." Chief Executive Neill Blake also echoed this sentiment, highlighting Semenyo's loyalty to the club.

The new contract ensures Semenyo's presence for the upcoming season, where Bournemouth aims to build on its record-breaking 2024/25 Premier League campaign, which saw the team finish ninth with 56 points.
