Adum fire: Amoakohene Announces Plans to Create Vehicular Routes to Boost Accessibility

Kumasi, Ashanti Region, Ghana - 23 March, 2025 - A recent blaze at Adum Blue Light in Kumasi has prompted the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, to unveil plans to prevent similar incidents and improve vehicular access in the area.

The fire, which occurred on Friday, March 21, destroyed several shops and sparked a swift response from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).

As part of the initiative, the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) will deploy security personnel to ensure smooth implementation.

The council has urged the public to cooperate fully with the new measures, which aim to enhance accessibility and reduce the risk of fire incidents caused by human activities.

The ARCC in a statement emphasized that these measures are crucial in safeguarding the community and preventing future incidents.

Residents and business owners in the area are encouraged to adhere to the new guidelines to promote safety and accessibility. The initiative is set to commence on Monday, March 24.
