Adam Mutawakilu Appointed Acting MD of Ghana Water Limited

Accra, Ghana - 03 Feb, 2025 - Ghana Water Limited has a new leader at the helm, with Adam Mutawakilu appointed as Acting Managing Director.

The appointment, made by President John Dramani Mahama, is subject to approval by the GWL Board and the Public Services Commission.

In his first address to GWL staff, Mr. Mutawakilu emphasized his commitment to collaborative leadership and expressed his eagerness to learn from and work with the company's dedicated professionals.

He acknowledged that while he may not have extensive experience in water management, his background in other areas would serve him well in the role.

“I may not have an extensive background in water management, but I bring experience in energy, finance, and governance, and I am eager to learn from and work with the dedicated professionals at Ghana Water Limited,” he stated

As the new leader of Ghana Water Limited, Mr. Mutawakilu faces the challenge of improving the country's water infrastructure and services. His success will depend on his ability to work effectively with stakeholders, including government agencies, donors, and local communities.
