National Cathedral staff to receive salaries despite construction delay - Dr. Joyce Aryee
Accra, Ghana - October 14, 2024 - Dr. Joyce Aryee, a member of the National Cathedral's board of trustees, has rejected concerns about staff payments during the construction halt, labeling them "ridiculous."
Her response comes amid growing worries about the project's stalled progress and its impact on staff salaries.
Speaking at a symposium organized with TD Jakes' divinity school on Monday, October 14, Dr. Aryee emphasized that a project being on hold doesn't mean people aren't working to keep it going.
She questioned the logic behind the concerns, asking if an organization should shut down entirely due to lack of funds for a specific aspect.
''If a project is on hold, it doesn’t mean that people are not working to keep it going. I’m surprised, I don’t even want to comment on it, as ridiculous as this. No, I won’t comment.
“So you establish an organisation, the organisation should stop because you don’t have money to continue a certain aspect of the organisation. Is that it? Answer it yourself,'' she added.
