NDC will construct cocoa processing facility for Kukuom- Mahama
Kukuom, Ahafo Region, Ghana - National Democratic Congress's (NDC) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama has unveiled plans to construct a state-of-the-art cocoa processing facility in Kukuom, Ahafo Region, as part of his comprehensive industrialization agenda.
Mahama's 24-hour economy policy aims to transform Ghana into a vibrant, always-on economy, driving productivity, accessibility, and job creation.
According to him, the cocoa processing facility will leverage the region's rich agricultural resources to establish a key industrial hub.
The facility is expected to boost economic growth, reduce unemployment, and enhance regional development, positioning Ghana as a competitive player in the global market.
Mahama emphasized his commitment to tackling youth unemployment and promoting regional development.
“I was very happy with the chief’s submission because of his understanding of our 24-hour economy policy. We have realised that, to successfully implement the policy, we need to embark on a massive industrialisation drive and as part of that, we will construct a cocoa processing facility for the Kukuom community," he said.
