Mahama names Haruna Iddrisu Education Minister, Kwame Agbodza for Road Ministry and Opare Addo as Youth Minister
Accra, Ghana - 16 Jan, 2025 - Ghana's President John Dramani Mahama has unveiled his latest picks for ministerial positions, marking a significant step in his governance vision.
Key Ministerial Nominees
- Education Ministry: Haruna Iddrisu, a seasoned politician and former Minority Leader in Parliament, is set to take the helm.
- Gender, Children and Social Protection Ministry: Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, a seasoned Legislator and Development Expert will be shaping national policies at the Ministry
- Roads and Highways Ministry: Kwame Agbodza will oversee this critical sector, focusing on infrastructure development and national connectivity.
- Food and Agriculture Ministry: Eric Opoku, renowned for his expertise in rural development, aims to boost food security and support farmers.
- Ministry for Youth Development and Empowerment: Opare Addo, NDC Youth Organiser, will lead this newly created ministry, prioritizing youth-focused policies and programs to tackle unemployment and foster innovation.
- Ministry for Trade and Agribusiness: Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare will strengthen Ghana's trade relations and promote agribusiness as a key economic driver.
