Gaisie slams Peace Council over selective activism
Founder of True Word Prophetic Fire Ministries, Prophet Nigel Gaisie has slammed the Peace Council over what he describes as 'selective activism'

Accra, Ghana - A fiery exchange erupted at the National Peace Council's dialogue with prophets in the Greater Accra Region on Tuesday August 27, 2024, exposing deep-seated tensions.

Prophet Nigel Gaisie, founder of True Word Prophetic Fire Ministries, launched a scathing attack on the Council, accusing it of selective activism and complacency in the face of violence.

Gaisie pointed to the Council's perceived silence on the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election violence and Techiman election killings, urging the council to adopt a proactive approach to addressing all issues and not just matters relating to elections on the country.

"I live close to Ayawaso West Wuogon. We saw the happenings of Ayawaso West Wuogon. Still I don't know when Peace Council is going to speak on it or release and communiqué to that effect," he said.

"We were in this country when our brothers and sisters in Techiman were killed. Till today, no word from Peace Council of the Republic of Ghana. Just last month or so… the Ghana Statistical Service brought a data or a survey suggested that the regular Ghanaian cannot afford three square meals, but we have an Agricultural Minister paid by the regular Ghanaian’s tax," he added.

Rev. Dr. Ernest Adu Gyamfi, Chairman of the National Peace Council,  however,  pushed back against Gaisie's accusations, insisting the Council has been working tirelessly to promote peace.

Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, Founder and Presiding Archbishop of Action Chapel International, on his part, called for calm and wisdom, urging prophets and politicians to work together to ensure peaceful elections.
