A vote for me is a vote for a 'brand new, tear rubber' president - Bawumia

The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr, Mahamudu Bawumia has claimed that voting for the NPP means voting for a "brand new, tear-rubber president" with innovative ideas to fix Ghana's problems.

In contrast, he characterized voting for the National Democratic Congress' (NDC) nominee, John Mahama, as voting for a "second-hand, failed president."

Dr. Bawumia made these statements during a community engagement on Wednesday as part of his visit of the Eastern Region's Ofoase-Ayirebi Constituency.

He stressed that voting for him will ensure the promotion of accountability in government.

“I am not yet a President so if you vote for me, you will get a brand-new tear rubber president but if you vote for John Dramani Mahama you get a second-hand failed president.

“Do you want a brand new or second-hand? If you want brand new then vote for Bawumia and Kojo Oppong Nkrumah,” he stated.
