Accra, Ghana - 06 May, 2025 - Deborah Seyram Adablah, the former National Service Personnel who sued her alleged "sugar daddy" for breach of promise, has been sentenced to 45 days in jail for contempt of court by the Accra High Court.
This ruling stems from her recent social media outbursts against the judiciary, specifically targeting Justice John Bosco Nabarese, who is presiding over her case against Ernest Kwesi Nimako, a former First Atlantic Bank executive.
Adablah's troubles began when she sued Nimako for breach of promise in 2023, claiming he failed to fulfill promises made during their relationship, including monetary compensation and ownership of a Honda Civic.
However, she reportedly defied a court order to surrender the vehicle to the court registrar for safekeeping.
The final straw came when Adablah made disparaging remarks about Justice Nabarese on social media, accusing him of bias and unprofessional conduct. Her comments, captured in videos shared online, questioned the integrity of Ghana's judiciary and warned the judge to be fair in his rulings.
These actions led to a bench warrant for her arrest and ultimately, her contempt conviction.
