Shatta Wale Out of EOCO Custody After Revised Bail Conditions
The musician was released following his detention over allegations concerning the acquisition of a Lamborghini Urus.
The Lamborghini in question was identified by the FBI and the US Justice Department as proceeds of a $4 million fraud case involving Ghanaian national Nana Kwabena Amuah, who is currently serving a jail term in the United States. Shatta Wale claimed he purchased the vehicle for $150,000 from an individual known as "ZAK" on WhatsApp, but he couldn't provide any proof of purchase or identify the seller.
Scores of Shatta Wale's fans stormed the EOCO offices on Thursday, August 21, demanding his release highlighting the strong following of the artist and the public attention surrounding the case. The fans held placards and chanted in solidarity with the SM boss, demonstrating their loyalty and support.
Sammy Flex, Shatta Wale's Public Relations Manager has also confirmed the musician's release on Facebook.
