Sharaf Mohammed Calls for Investment in Africa's Sports and Entertainment Sectors

Washington D.C, USA - 29 April, 2025 - Sharaf Mohammed, son of Ghanaian President John Mahama, has called for increased investment in Africa's sports and entertainment sectors, citing their potential to drive development and challenge negative stereotypes about the continent.

Speaking at the 2025 Africa Business Conference at Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C., Mohammed emphasized the importance of these sectors as a form of soft power that can transform lives and communities.

As the CEO of Legacy Rise Sports, Mohammed participated in a panel discussion on "Media, Marketing and Entertainment" and an investor session hosted by the Voice of Africa.

He also highlighted the need for greater investment in these areas to unlock their full potential and promote positive change.

By tapping into the creative and economic potential of sports and entertainment, Mohammed believes Africa can reshape its narrative and drive progress.
