Roads Minister Directs Contractors to Commence Work on Ashaiman-Afienya and Tema Motorway Stretches

Accra, Ghana - 02 April, 2025 - Ghana's Roads Minister, Kwame Governs Agbodza, has issued a directive to two local contractors, First Sky and Ozwald Investments Limited, to commence immediate road construction on two critical routes: the Ashaiman-Afienya stretch and the Tema Motorway to Dawhenya stretch. 

During an emergency inspection of the affected roads, Minister Agbodza stressed the government's commitment to ensuring road safety and improving infrastructure.

He described the state of the roads as a pressing human security concern that required urgent attention.

Minister Agbodza also commended the two contractors for their commitment to delivering quality work, despite ongoing challenges within the road sector. He expressed confidence in their ability to complete the remedial works efficiently, ensuring that road users experience improved conditions as soon as possible.
