Richard 'King Zuba' Ofori Boadi takes over as new KMA Boss

Kumasi, Ashanti Region, Ghana - 10 April, 2025 - Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi, also known as King Zuba, has been confirmed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) after a landslide victory in the assembly's vote.
Boadi, who previously served as Municipal Chief Executive of Obuasi under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration, secured 55 out of 56 votes cast.
Ashanti Regional Minister Dr. Frank Amoakohene has called on the newly appointed mayor to focus on pressing urban issues in Kumasi, specifically decongesting the city, enhancing sanitation, and resolving problems at the Kejetia Market.
According to Dr. Amoakohene, the Regional Coordinating Council is committed to collaborating with the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly to tackle these challenges and support the mayor's city development plans.
