Presidency has not ordered NIB to probe Akufo-Addo's travels - Kwakye Ofosu

Accra, Ghana - 20 March, 2025 - The Ministry of State in charge of Government Communications has dismissed reports alleging that the Presidency has initiated an investigation into former President Nana Akufo-Addo's official travels during his tenure.
Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the sector minister, described the claims as false and urged the public to disregard them, emphasizing that the Presidency has not directed the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) to investigate the former President's travels.
His comments came after reports emerged that President John Mahama had allegedly ordered an investigation into former President Akufo-Addo's official travel records during his time in office according to Accra-based Asaase radio.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the Presidency has not given any order to the NIB to look into President Akufo-Addo's travels,” Kwakye Ofosu wrote on his X account (formerly twitter).
