Police Foil Robbery Attempt on Tutuka-Akrofuom Road

Tutuka-Akrofuom, Obuasi ,Ghana – 2 August, 2025 – The Obuasi Divisional Command of the Ghana Police Service has successfully foiled a robbery attempt on the Tutuka-Akrofuom road in Obuasi. In a swift response to a distress call, the police arrested one suspect, Pascal Yenkye, while others are still on the run.

According to reports, the police team responded promptly to the distress call and chased the gang of robbers into a nearby bush. The suspects abandoned two unregistered motorbikes and a machete in their haste to escape. During the pursuit, Yenkye was apprehended but sustained a leg injury while attempting to flee on his motorbike. He is currently receiving medical attention under police guard.

A manhunt has been launched to track down the remaining suspects. The Ghana Police Service has reiterated its commitment to maintaining security, law, and order across the country.
