Parliament Approves Muntaka as New Interior Minister
Muntaka Mohammed is Ghana's Interior Minister

Accra, Ghana - 24 Jan, 2025 - Ghana's Parliament has approved the nomination of Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak as the country's new Interior Minister, following a thorough vetting process.

Mr. Muntaka, who is also the Member of Parliament for Asawase, is expected to bring his experience and expertise to the critical role, which oversees national security and governance.

The parliamentary approval also extended to four regional ministers-designate, who are expected to drive development and address pressing challenges in their respective regions.

The newly-approved regional ministers include Ali Adolf John for the Northern Region, John Kwadwo Gyapong for the Oti Region, James Gunu for the Volta Region, and Mrs. Rita Akosua Awatey for the Eastern Region.
