Accra, Ghana - 13 June, 2025 - Ghana's Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, has shed light on a staggering financial scandal involving the former Director General of the National Service Authority (NSA), Osei-Assibey Antwi.

According to Dr. Ayine, a whopping GH¢8.256 million was deposited into an Ezwich account registered in Antwi's name during the 2022/2023 service year, with evidence suggesting that Antwi personally received the funds.

The discovery forms part of the Operation Recover All Loot taskforce's ongoing probe into suspected financial irregularities at the National Service Authority, with Dr. Ayine revealing at an Accra press conference that an Ezwich card tied to the account was found at Antwi's home.

“In the 2022/2023 service year, a total of eight million, two hundred and fifty-six thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢8,256,000.00) was deposited into EZWICH account number 1177042059, which is registered in the name of suspect Osei Assibey. Investigations showed that he personally received these funds. During a search at his residence, the aforementioned Ezwich card was found.''
