NPP Chairman Stephen Ntim's Family Requests Temporary Leave Due to Health Concerns

Accra. Ghana - 17 June, 2025 -The family of Stephen Ayensu Ntim, National Chairman of Ghana's New Patriotic Party (NPP), has formally requested that he step aside from his party duties temporarily to focus on his health.
In a letter to the NPP Council of Elders, the family cited concerns over Ntim's "cognitive dissonance and mental incapacitation," emphasizing the need for immediate medical attention and rest.
The letter, signed by Ntim's family members, including Kingsley Oteng, MP Adelaide Ntim, and other close relatives, acknowledges his long-standing service to the party, but emphasized that his health concerns now take precedence.
The family specifically requested that Ntim be excused from an upcoming NPP meeting scheduled for June 17, which he was slated to chair.
They urged the party leadership to act with compassion, allowing Ntim the necessary time to recover before resuming his duties.
“Common sense dictates that Steve, as a matter of urgency, be temporarily excused, not only from the rigours of active politics, but from intra-party activities in order to make way for needed peace and solace and for concentration on the ongoing required medical treatment process,” portions of the letter read.
