NPP Opens Door for Constitutional Reforms, Calls for Proposals

Accra, Ghana - 28 April, 2025 - The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has invited its members and identifiable groups to submit proposals for constitutional amendments, marking a significant step towards reviewing and revising the party's constitution.
According to a memo dated April 25, 2025, signed by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party aims to address structural and critical issues confronting it through this process.
The NPP has set up a nine-member Constitutional Amendment Committee, chaired by Frank Davies, to review and propose amendments. The committee includes notable members such as Patricia Appiagyei, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, and Dr. Antoinette Tsiboe-Darko.
The committee's mandate includes considering recommendations from previous review committees and categorizing proposals for debate at the National Delegates Conference.
Members and groups can submit their proposals until May 9, 2025, via email [email protected] or to the party's headquarters.
An Extraordinary National Delegates Conference is scheduled for July to consider the proposed amendments.
