Exclusive CCTV Footage Emerges of Brazen Raid at Ken Ofori-Atta's Home

Accra, Ghana - 12 Feb, 2025 - CCTV images have surfaced showing the group of armed men who allegedly broke into the home of Ghana's former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.

The raid which allegedly took place at Ofori-Atta's home in Labone, involved approximately 12 individuals, including five in military uniforms, one in a police uniform, and the rest in plain clothes.

The former minister was reportedly out of the country, receiving medical treatment in the United States, while some family members, including his wife, were present during the incident.

Iniitial reports suggested that the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) was behind the operation, but Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng has categorically denied any involvement, stating that the OSP had not authorized or conducted any such raid.

At a press briefing on Wednesday Feb 12,  Agyebeng further suggested that the incident might have been staged to discredit his office and derail ongoing investigations into Ofori-Atta.

However, the emergence of CCTV footage allegedly identifying the leader of the group responsible for the raid has challenged claims that Ofori-Atta staged the raid himself. The individual in the image is a well-known businessman and member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
