No New Cocoa Producer Price Announced Yet - COCOBOD Denies Circulating Reports

Accra, Ghana - 11 April, 2025 - The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has denied reports circulating about a new producer price for cocoa, labeling them "false and misleading".

In a statement issued on Thursday, April 10, the Board clarified that no price adjustment has been authorized due to incomplete administrative frameworks.

COCOBOD lacks a functional Board of Directors to approve price decisions, and the Producer Price Review Committee, which assesses and proposes price changes, has not been established.

''Without these key bodies operational, any announcement of a new producer price is impossible and unauthorized'', the statement emphasized.

COCOBOD advised the public and media to ignore unconfirmed reports and wait for official statements to maintain transparency and stability in Ghana's cocoa sector.
