NIB summons Abronye over 'GH₵550 million' corruption allegations against Mahama

Accra, Ghana - 22 Feb, 2025 - Ghana's National Investigations Bureau (NIB) has summoned Kwame Baffoe, the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to appear before them on 26 February over allegations he made against the presidency.
The investigation centres on claims Mr Baffoe, popularly known as 'Abronye DC' made in a recent television interview on Accra-based Movement Television, in which he accused President John Mahama of corruption.
The NIB in a letter, has instructed Abronye to provide evidence to support his claims, which include accusations that President Mahama withheld GH₵550 million intended for former government appointees.
