NASPA Deducts GH₵100 from National Service Personnel Allowances for Service Cloth

Accra, Ghana - 03 March, 2025 - Ghana's National Service personnel are facing a GH₵100 deduction from their February allowances, announced by the National Service Personnel Association (NASPA), to cover the cost of the National Service Cloth distributed nationwide.
The deduction may not be the only reduction personnel will see in their allowances. Those enrolled in the SIC insurance scheme can expect additional deductions to settle unpaid insurance contributions, totaling four months' worth of payments. This move is intended to fulfill contractual obligations under the insurance program.
NASPA has reassured personnel in a statement that, further updates regarding the deductions and allowance payments will be communicated in due course.
The announcement has sparked concerns among some service personnel, who argue that the deductions were not adequately communicated in advance.
