The National Democratic Congress's (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Awutu Senya East Constituency, Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunnor, is exuding confidence and anticipating a 67 percent win ahead of the December 7 elections.

With a comprehensive campaign strategy in place, Okunnor has covered all 13 electoral areas in the constituency, engaging with voters and addressing their concerns.

Okunnor's campaign has focused on empowering local artisans, providing them with essential tools and equipment to enhance their livelihoods. This initiative has resonated with the community, who appreciate Okunnor's commitment to their welfare.

The NDC's proposed policies, including the 24-hour Economy and the establishment of a Women's Development Bank, have also gained traction among voters.

Mark Allen Hammah, the NDC's central regional committee chairman, believes that these initiatives have struck a chord with the electorate, bolstering Okunnor's chances of securing a decisive victory.

Speaking to Channel One News on Nov 30, Okunnor remained optimistic about her prospects, citing scientific evidence from various research groups that indicate a commanding lead.

“I decided to support some artisans with sewing machines, Hairdryer and other items to help their work. I have been engaging the people of the constituency for a long time and one thing I noticed is the fact that most of the people in the constituency are learning a trade in one way or another and most of them after completion don’t have the means to purchase machines needed to practice and so after a lot of discussion with my team we decided to support these people and so that is what you see here.

“I must also say that the upcoming election is a tough one. The last time I came close to victory but this time round I am winning hands down. This is not something that was cooked there is scientific evidence to prove that. A series of research has been conducted by different groups and it keeps giving us the same result.I am winning by 67%,” Naa Koryoo said.
