McDan Aviation's Private Jet Terminal Shut Down Over Unpaid Debt

Accra, Ghana - December 30, 2024 - The McDan Aviation Private Jet Terminal was closed by the Airports Company Limited (GACL) after the company failed to settle its outstanding debt of over $3m which include land leases, rentals, and terminal charges.

This is not the first time McDan Aviation has faced a shutdown. In 2022, the company was barred from operating its private jet services at Terminal 1 of the airport due to operational breaches.

Despite being given until Christmas to settle the debt, McDan Aviation failed to clear the amount, prompting the GACL to take action.

The shutdown has raised concerns about the company's operations and its ability to meet its financial obligations.

The GACL has taken a firm stance on the matter, citing the need for companies operating at the airport to comply with regulations and settle their debts in a timely manner.

The closure of the private jet terminal is expected to have implications for McDan Aviation's operations and its clients.
