Mahama Appoints Julius Debrah as Chief of Staff, names other Key Officials
Accra, Ghana - January 6, 2025 - President-elect John Dramani Mahama has announced Julius Debrah as Chief of Staff as he prepares to take office on January 7.
In a statement released today, Jan 6, 2025 and signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Spokesperson of the Mahama Transition Team, Dr. Callistus Mahama has also been named as Executive Secretary to the President, and Prosper Douglas Bani as Head of the Interim Security Task Force.
Other appointments include Dr. Valerie Sawyerr as Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs, Augustus Goosie Tannoh as Presidential Advisor responsible for promoting a 24-hour economy and accelerated export development, and Marietta Agyeiwaa Brew as Legal Counsel to the President.
Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu has been named as the Acting Spokesperson to the President.
The appointments take effect on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, and are seen as a key step in shaping Mahama's administration's agenda and policy direction.
Mahama is set to be inaugurated as President of Ghana on Tuesday Jan 7, 2025 following his victory in the 2024 presidential election.
