Mahama Appoints Abigail Mensah as New Acting CEO for MASLOC

Accra, Ghana - 16 Feb, 2025 - Ghana's President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Abigail Akwambea Elorm Mensah as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), a key institution providing financial support to small and medium-sized enterprises and vulnerable entrepreneurs.
The appointment, made in a letter dated February 12, 2025, is subject to consultation with the yet-to-be-constituted Council of State. Mensah, currently serves as the Deputy National Women’s Organizer for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
She holds a Master of Commerce in Taxation from Pentecost University Graduate School, an LLB from the University of London, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Methodist University College, among other qualifications.
As the new Acting CEO of MASLOC, Mensah will oversee the institution's operations and policy direction, playing a crucial role in promoting financial inclusion and supporting small businesses in Ghana.
“I write to formally inform you that the President of the Republic of Ghana has appointed you as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) at the office of the President pending the required consultation with the yet-to-be constituted Council of State,' portions of the letter from the presidency read.
