Accra, Ghana - 23 June, 2025 - A significant development in Ghana's energy sector is underway as the Indonesian government expresses its intention to establish renewable energy plants in the country.

With a proposed production capacity of 500 to 2,000 megawatts, this initiative aims to bolster Ghana's energy infrastructure and promote a sustainable power supply.

During a recent meeting between Indonesian Honorary Consul Paskal A.B. Rois and Ghana's Energy Minister John Abdulai Jinapor, the two parties discussed potential collaborations in the energy sector. Indonesia's proposals include developing a state-of-the-art oil refinery in Ghana to enhance local oil processing capacity and acquiring oil blocks in Ghana's upstream petroleum sector.
