Government Reintroduces Road and Bridge Tolls

Accra, Ghana - 06 Feb, 2025 - Ghana's government has announced the reintroduction of road and bridge tolls, aimed at generating revenue for road maintenance and infrastructure development.

In a statement, the Ministry of Roads and Highways said the new tolling system would be modern, technology-driven and designed to ensure efficiency and convenience.

The Ministry pledged to implement a transparent and competitive procurement process to deliver the new system, with further details to be announced in due course.

“To achieve this objective, the Ministry will employ an open, transparent, competitive, cost-effective and fair procurement process,'' portions of the statement read.
