McDan Group Officials Detained Amidst Warehouse Demolition Controversy
Accra, Ghana – 30 July, 2025 - Three senior executives of the McDan Group have been taken into custody by National Security operatives following the demolition of a warehouse under construction along the Spintex Road in Accra. The warehouse is reportedly linked to Dr. Daniel McKorley, Executive Chairman of the McDan Group.
The demolition, which occurred on Wednesday, has sparked tensions at the site, now designated a "National Security Zone". Details surrounding the incident remain unclear, but eyewitnesses describe the scene as chaotic, with military personnel allegedly using force to disperse media and civilians.
