Japan ,September 21,2025 - Ghana's men's 4x100m relay team delivered a stunning performance at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, finishing fourth in the final with a time of 37.93 seconds. The quartet of Ibrahim Fuseini, Benjamin Azamati, Joseph Paul Amoah, and Abdul-Rasheed Saminu showcased their speed and teamwork on the global stage, narrowly missing out on a medal.

The United States dominated the event, claiming gold with a world-leading time of 37.29 seconds, while Canada took silver with a season's best of 37.55 seconds. The Netherlands secured bronze with a national record of 37.81 seconds, edging Ghana out by just 0.12 seconds.

This result highlights Ghana's growing competitiveness in the sprint relay, reflecting the country's progress in producing world-class sprinters. The team's performance is expected to inspire further development of athletics in Ghana, and fans are eagerly looking forward to their future endeavors.

In other news from the championships, Rose Yeboah made history by becoming the first Ghanaian in 20 years to reach a World Championships final in an individual event, finishing 15th in the women's high jump.
