Ghana Hosts Ugandan Parliamentary Delegation for Research Exchange

Accra, Ghana - 10 Feb, 2025 - A six-member team from Uganda's Parliament has arrived in Ghana for a five-day study visit, aimed at exchanging knowledge and best practices on research for legislative bodies in Africa.

The delegation, comprising senior officers from the Department of Research Services, is seeking to enhance their skills and expertise in evidence-based legislative processes.

During their visit, the team paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Clerk of Parliament, who oversees Information Management Services. The meeting provided an opportunity for the Ugandan delegation to engage with their Ghanaian counterparts and discuss critical issues related to legislative research.

Key areas of discussion included the use of evidence in legislative processes, as well as best practices in research and information management. The Coordinating Director of Media Relations, Public Engagement, and Parliamentary Broadcasting, Ms. Kate Addo, was also in attendance to facilitate the knowledge-sharing exercise.
