Former President Kufuor endorses Bawumia for President

ACCRA, Ghana - November 17, 2024 - In a bold move, former President John Agyekum Kufuor has publicly expressed his strong confidence in Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) presidential candidate, to revitalize Ghana's economy.

 Speaking to journalists on November 17,Kufuor praised Bawumia's exceptional economic management skills, citing his successful collaboration with the Bank of Ghana to stabilize the local currency during his tenure.

As a key member of the Bank of Ghana's team under Governor Dr. Paul Acquah, Bawumia played a pivotal role in reviving the currency. Kufuor, who worked with Bawumia during his administration, attested to his remarkable abilities in economic enhancement. With Ghana's economy expected to recover by 2025, Bawumia's expertise could be the catalyst for sustainable growth.
