Empress Gifty Adorye Sues Nana Agradaa for Defamation

Accra, Ghana - 22 May, 2025 - Ghanaian gospel artiste Empress Gifty Adorye has dragged evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, to the Tema High Court over allegations of defamation.

According to the lawsuit, Agradaa's recent online posts and videos contained disparaging remarks about Empress Gifty, prompting the singer to seek justice.

Empress Gifty is demanding GHC20 million in damages and is also seeking a court order to compel Agradaa to remove the offending content from her social media platforms. Furthermore, the gospel singer wants the court to issue a perpetual injunction restraining Agradaa from making any further defamatory statements about her.

With Agradaa yet to respond to the lawsuit, the case will determine the outcome of this high-profile defamation dispute.
