Accra, Ghana - 04 April, 2025 - Consolidated Bank Ghana Limited (CBG) has undergone a significant leadership change, with Dr. Naomi Wolali Kwetey appointed as the new Managing Director, effective March 26, 2025. 7

This appointment, confirmed by Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, brings in a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in the financial sector.

Dr. Kwetey's expertise spans corporate relationship management, treasury, credit administration, and operational risk management. Her impressive academic background includes degrees from the University of Ghana, The Birmingham Business School, and Nobel International Business (NiBS) University.

In addition to Dr. Kwetey's appointment, Sheila Azuntaba has been named Deputy Managing Director of CBG. Azuntaba boasts an impressive career in investment banking and commercial banking, with experience in multiple countries, including Kenya and Ghana.

She has also been recognized for her efforts in empowering financially excluded groups, particularly women.

The Finance Minister has instructed CBG to formalize the appointments, ensuring compliance with the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992) and the bank's constitution. With their combined expertise, Dr. Kwetey and Azuntaba are poised to drive CBG's growth and success.
