Court Sets July 18 for Kwabena Adu-Boahene's Trial

Accra, Ghana - 3 July, 2025 - The High Court in Accra has set July 18, 2025, as the trial date for Kwabena Adu-Boahene, former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau, and three others accused of misappropriating GH₵49.1 million meant for cybersecurity defense software.

The court's decision comes after it dismissed an application by the accused seeking disclosure of national security financial records dating back to 1992.

The accused's lawyer, Samuel Atta-Akyea, has strongly criticized the court's ruling, describing it as an "aberration of justice." He accused the court of suppressing evidence and claimed that the presiding judge had been influenced by the Attorney General.

Mr. Atta-Akyea also alleged procedural irregularities, citing the unexpected delivery of a summary ruling instead of a detailed one.
