Accra, Ghana - Bernard Mornah has been declared the winner of the People's National Convention (PNC) flagbearer contest, securing a landslide victory with 1,138 votes. His opponent, David Apasera, trailed behind with 216 votes.

The announcement was made by Electoral Commission officials at the UDS Guest House in Accra, marking a significant milestone for the party ahead of the December general elections.

In his victory speech, Mornah extended an olive branch to Apasera, urging unity and collaboration to strengthen the party's position in the upcoming polls. He emphasized the need for a united front to secure political power.

The congress, which was initially delayed due to a legal injunction filed by Apasera's camp, was resolved amicably, allowing the event to proceed without further disruptions.

Mornah's victory sets the stage for the PNC's campaign in the December general elections, with the party poised to leverage its newfound momentum to gain political ground.
