Baker Hughes Pledges Support for Ghana's Upstream Petroleum Sector

Accra, Ghana - 18 Feb, 2025 - Baker Hughes, a leading international service provider in the upstream petroleum industry, has reaffirmed its commitment to Ghana's upstream petroleum sector.
A delegation from the company, led by Country Director Salamatu Mahamadu, met with Ms. Emeafa Hardcastle, the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Petroleum Commission (PC), to express their dedication to advancing the sector.
The delegation highlighted Baker Hughes' extensive operations in Ghana, which date back to 2007, and their partnerships with major upstream players such as Tullow Oil and ENI.
They also emphasized their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, which focus on fostering strong stakeholder relations with local communities and contributing to various sectors of Ghanaian society.
In response, Ms. Hardcastle expressed her appreciation for Baker Hughes' continued partnership and outlined the government's plans to enhance the fiscal and regulatory environment of the upstream petroleum industry.
She also mentioned upcoming programmes, including Africa Oil Week, which will be hosted in Ghana to attract global attention and investment into Africa's hydrocarbon space.
