Akufo-Addo unveils statue of himself, touts achievements in Western Region
Sekondi, Ghana - Nov 6, 2024 - President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has unveiled a statue of himself at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi, Ghana, as part of his one-day "thank you" tour of the Western Region.
According to Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah, the statue honors the president's initiatives in the region, including the rehabilitation of the hospital, construction of a 3-tier Sinohydro interchange, and redevelopment of the Takoradi Market Circle.
However, despite these initiatives, some projects remain incomplete.
Addressing residents in Takoradi, President Akufo-Addo highlighted his achievements since taking office, claiming to have fulfilled 80% of his promises to Ghanaians.
